2001 Radio issue

My son has a 2001 Pathfinder Le, his radio was stolen as well as the speakers in the doors. He installed a pioneer radio and speakers. The radio works fine, until the vechicle is crunk. Then the radio stops working. If you turn the vechicle off the radio starts working again. Someone please help I'm pulling out all my hair trying to figure this out. All fuses are fine and there is no short in the wiring. Thanks in advance!
