The Nissan Path

Hey everyone. I used to be on here, but it's been a while and I forgot my old username and everything. Anyway, 2001 Pathfinder LE, 2WD. The little fan module thing behind the glove box went out on me for the second time since owning it (probably 7 years or so). I knew exactly what it was when it happened. So I went to Pull-a-part and got a couple of them. IT HAS BLOWN 3 OF THEM IN A WEEK! What in the world could be going on?!

One other thing, which it has done before and seems to happen for a bit and then go away, is it will just click when trying to start. Battery and everything is good, it's just like the starter or solenoid is caught up. Usually after a few hits of the key it turns over perfectly.

Could this be related? Or is it possible I just got multiple modules that were on their last leg? I have one left, but I don't want to have it blow out right after I put it in. It seemed to not work after dealing with the clicking when starting. But the last one, my wife just turned the AC off and back on while it was running and it wouldn't blow after turning the AC back on.

I'm at a loss on what it could be. We really need it to be working for scout camping this weekend! Please help!

I would check the charging system, especially for over-charging, as well as making sure the battery cable connections are clean and tight. If those are good, I would replace the blower motor.

I forgot to say that I cleaned up and tightened all the battery cable connections. I also took the blower motor/fan out to check it over and hooked up power directly to it and everything seemed to work fine. Anything else?

Well I put it all back together and it didn't work....until I beat on the fan motor. Then it started slowly. Quickly turned it off, went and got a blower motor, put it in and it's working so far. I'll drive it more tomorrow and see what it does.

The blower is likely drawing too many amps and that's what's likely frying your blower amps.
