1997 - 4wd newbie here light bar and rack installation

Hey guys. I was wondering if you guys had any advice for the installation of a new lightbar. I was thinking 42 inches. On top of my windshield. I'd rather not drill holes if I don't have to. And I was wondering if there were any tips for installing a new rack over the short stock one it comes with... Thanks in advance
