Is my transmission done? Super weird issues

I got a used automatic 2000 r50 pathfinder whcih was running great for about 3 weeks until everything went to crap.
It now drives forward in reverse and neutral!
While off, it goes in neutral, while running it doesnt.
Instead of shifting from 2nd to 3rd, it downshifts to 1st which is scary.
No check engine light, and will not connect to code reader (tried 2).
Is this an electrical problem, failed trans, or both? Any insight is appreciated! I'm scared to change transmission only to find I have an electrical problem.
