water in drivers side

Does anyone know if there is a common culprit for water getting into the drivers floorboard? I am pretty sure it is coming from rain. AC is clearly draining to the outside and I think that would drip into passenger side if it was blocked.
We found a LOT of water in the drivers floor board mostly on the door side like it had some though a broken drip rail or something. the Floor mat was wet so it is definitely dripping onto it at the front of it.

My plan is to wait for next rain storm and sit in the car to ID the problem or run a hose on it.

If it has a sunroof, it could be a leaking drain tube. Otherwise, it could be leaking past the windshield sealant or there's rot at the bottom of the window.

it does have a sunroof. I will have to find this sunroof tube and check it out. I don't have a lot of rot on my car. She has been garage kept at night and weekend days for the last 17 years of her life. I never noticed any leaks and I would have it partked outside at work during the day. It was parked on a downhill slope recently when the leak was noticed. I wonder if that plays into it. Unfortunately she got relegated to the driveway when handed down to my son and my new 4 runner got the garage!

There is a sunroof drain tube that runs from the corner of the sunroof to the driver's "A" pillar. That would be the one you'd want to take a look at. Usually when they are an issue is when they spit or get disconnected at the roof and leak unto the headliner, so I have my doubts as to it being the cause for water on your driver's floor. You may need to have someone looking under the dash with a light while someone sprays water with a hose on the outside. In my younger days, I would recline the driver's seat as far back as possible and sorta sit upside-down, with my head under the dash. It was really awkward and uncomfortable, but I did what I had to do to figure out what was going on! Of course, we didn't have smart phones with video capabilities like we do today, so maybe that's a way of doing it? All I know is I'm too fat and old to be stuffing myself under any more dashboards!

It was the sunroof drain tube. Used a straightened coat hanger to push through some gunk and that seems to have solved the problem.

Water was backing up when the car was parked facing down hill. It would then spill over the sunroof to inside the car between the roof and the headliner and draining over toward the door, down the a pillar and puddling in the floor board.
