1996 Turn Signal Drama Out of Nowhere

Left turn signal light just stopped working and now lights up (including dash indicator light) when I press the brakes. It works when headlights are off, but not when they're on. Now the right turn signal light is out in the bumper, but blinks in the rear. Lots of rain here in Augusta. Does everything just need to dry out?
