The Nissan Path

Hi there, when I open my hatch my rear light does not come on. It is set to the middle position and it does come on when any other doors are opened and you can turn it on manually. I would figure it is a bad pin switch but I don't see one anywhere like you would see on the doors. Let me know what you think

Possible that the rear door activates the light through breaking the connection between the latch and strike when opened.

I had a 4Runner that was wired like that...
