The pathfinder is underpowered

Hey everyone~ 2000 LE,
We were flooring the gas the other day and the engine was soo slooow.
Fuel pump? what do you think?
any input is welcome, i'd like to hear different opinions

wait is it a fuel pump??? i thought that the fuel was delivered to the engine using pressure from the exhaust.

That would be the only reason you would have a lag for acceleration. besides its not exactly a sports car haha

Maybe a little respect for those who are not self proclaimed mechanics like yourself ?

It could be any number of things including the fuel pump. Could be a clogged cat, dirty injectors, o2 sensor or other mechanical problem.

thinking the same thing. give it a tuneup if you haven't in a while and see what happens. i think these models have an external fuel filter. if it does change it if you haven't already.

I mean what i say in the best sense of humor. And no I most certainly am not a self proclaimed mechanic. Obviously I didn't realize there was a fuel pump.
