Hey everyone!, I recently bought a 2003 Pathfinder SE and love the car, only problem is every time I ask for power and reaches 3000RPMs it starts stuttering and will not let it rev up anymore (like if it cuts-off), it wont give me power I want or need... any suggentions would be greatly appreciated! thanks

This sound alot like a MAF sensor issue. 2001-2003 (fixed in 2004), have had a chronic issue with this sensor. It is not cheap, so you want to make sure it is that.... You should have a check engine light on.... do you ??

If you do, get the code out ( from a reader or a garage), then you'll have something to go from.

I have the same issue in my 97. I didn't know what it was but it makes sense that it's my MAF sensor. My mechanic put a OBD2 scanner on it and it showed that the MAF sensor was bad.

Now if you do not have a problem with the near 500$ maf for the pathfinder, then go ahead and change it (mine has ben changed for a 2004 model).... if not , many have been sucessful with the procedure of using a maxima maf which has the same engine. About 300$ less... everything is here : http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showtopic=12280

I'm having the same issue with my 1998 as well and have been searching for a solution. My available power noticably drops at 3100rpm but then picks up again around 3600. Occasionally I'll have have a bit of hesitation at different speeds as well though, usuall when the engine is cold.
I replaced the right side catalytic convertor and that was when I started noticing the issue. I do have engine codes but don't have them on hand at the moment.
Someone suggested that I check my o2 sensors but I haven't had the chance to do that yet.

I just replaced my MAF on my 2001 because I had the same problem. Took a shot and bought one of the hundreds being sold on ebay new for $50. So far it works just fine.
