NEED HELP PLSE S.O.S 97 pathy se

the problem is that the transmisson is down shifting or letting go at 65 mph then goes back in, then when i push down on the gas, it runs like a camp. then when im going 35-45 mph it does it agian. want is going on do i need a new tranny or is it a sesnor
p.s I bought the 97 pathy wit 120xxx miles on it love it never going back, I bought the car in march. I never had the chance to go off roading or really beat on it i have two jobs. so i have no time.
