KYB Excel-G and GR2

This may have been beaten to death but I just received a pair of these for my 99 and one is silver (GR-2) and one is black (Excel-G) 
I had the silver in my truck before when I had the lift and they were stiffer than stock. I removed them and put stock ones back and now need to replace the stock ones too.
I want to get them done this weekend and waiting for a replacement would be another week of shipping. Do you think it's ok to run GR-2 on one side and Excel-G on the other? Beside the mismatch color, do you think they are different? I read somewhere on some Mazda forum that the Excel-G may be softer...but not sure.
