The Nissan Path

Guys,
Have any one of you installed camber adjustment bolts to the R50 Pathfindders? I have a 2001 and there is significant amount of camber in my wheel and it is causing improper wear on my tires.

If any one of you have done it, could you please advise on procedure?

Procedure is fairly cut and dry. The bolts that attach the bottom of the strut to the top of the steering knuckle are removed and replaced with the eccentric type bolts that will allow for adjustment. If the camber is out a lot, make sure you are not dealing with a bent strut and check your ball joints. Obviously, after the bolts are installed, the alignment will need to be performed.

Thanks SMJ. Didn't know it was so simple. My mechanic said he would do it for $150 because it involved drilling out some suspension part.

Now that I know, I will just order the bolts, put them in myself and get an alignment.

Sometimes you have to use a die-grinder on the holes in the strut, depending on how much adjustment is needed, but that's not too big of a job.
