The Nissan Path

My PF instantly started the following: All dome lights are out, The doors will not lock without the keys on, and trip meter resets every cycle. This happened right after I changed my distributor, assumed bad/undone connector, checked all over. There has to be a common issure here (I hope), but I'm not seeing it. Appreciate thoughts.

I would check the ignition switch if the clock is resetting.

I think the clock is keeping time. The power locks should work even with the key off, unless the ignition is a flow through. But I will give a look.

The power door locks are powered through the smart entrance control unit, which receives power from several sources: one is through a fusible link then through a circuit breaker to pin 11, another is through a fuse and the key switch to pin 32 and a third source at pin 33 is powered from the ignition switch through a fuse. Interior lamps are also powered through the smart entrance control unit, which would give a common denominator, but I don't see how the trip counter is related other than the ignition switch.

Check ALL of your fuses. It sounds like one of the fuses responsible for a constant power supply to multiple accessories may have popped. Fuse #24 in the dash is one of those. If not a fuse start looking at basic power/ground issues like cable connection or a battery with a dead cell
