clean the throttle body, do the accelerator pedal position re-learn, and Idle air volume learn. start there.

OK!!! For the unlearned pathfinder owner...can you explain what could be the issue here? I had an exhaust leak that I repaired correctly (in contranst to previous owner) and I started using a better grade fuel. It has not died for over 2 weeks. Obvious idles cleaner, better fuel mileage. I am coming from diesels so excuse the ignorance

O2 sensors will not make it stall. This vehicle uses an Electronic Throttle body which is responsible for controlling how much air is allowed into the engine. The electric TB is controlled by the engine computer. If it is dirty or faulty, improper operation will result. Clean it. The re-learn procedures are needed in order to reset the adaptive memory of the engine control module so that it will re-learn a proper idle. Sounds like you might need a good deal of reading on electronic fuel injection
