V8 LE front suspension -- Z1 Offroad offerings

Postby Zen_master » Thu Jun 05, 2025 7:43 am

Anyone use Z1 Offroad for front suspension parts, specifically on a V8 R51?

Ball joints on mine are showing signs of eventually needing replaced and research suggests doing the control arms units is the more worthwhile option versus just doing the ball joints alone, mainly due to the labor element of accessing the ball joints behind the knuckle.

Looks like Z1 offers OEM (Nissan branded) and Hyaku made to OE specs. Wondering if anyone here has experience with either and can comment. Thanks!

Nissan oem is the preferrable choice to go with. Otherwise, take your pick of all the 3rd party manufacturers whether it's Z1 or RockAuto. All my control arms are Nissan oem except the front uca(Rough Country current) and the rear uca(Mevotech) due to eccentric bushings I had installed in it from my other R51 that had a 2" lift.
