Side Step/Running Board studs

Postby border reiver » Sun Aug 30, 2009 8:14 am

I have damaged the side step/running board fixing studs on my 2009 Pathfinder. Does anyone know if these can be replaced?

yeah on my 08, its a double bolt system.

one liner metal part is bolted to the chassis, and the stepboard is bolted onto that liner, no welding.

Can be easily removed/replaced/ or just take it to any metalworks shop, they can straighten out the bottom lining.

ive bent mine numerously offroading

Thanks for the reply. It's the actual bolts fixed to the body sill which have been damaged - the thread has been stripped. Before I try to loosen the studs, I want to make sure that they aren't welded
