Cargo Mat

Postby deezx5 » Fri Mar 19, 2010 9:11 am

Looking for a cargo mat for 09 Pathfinder and I keep running across Weathertech and Husky brands. Are there any preferences here?

My main concerns are that it stays in place while loading/unloading and durable.

I've owned both brand's hope this helps. The weatherTech looks nicer and fits better and you can roll or fold it back and stand up third row.The Husky is more rigid and has larger raised lips(good for spills) but if you need third row it will probably have to come out.(mine does) As far as loading and unloading both stayed in place well I think the husky came with velcro to hold it in place I didn't use it though both vehicles have carpeted cargo areas. Durability wise I think the husky would do better for heavy use it's easier to clean and a lot cheaper.

Thanks that is very helpful, I think we will go with the Husky. Cost is about $60 cheaper and I don't think we will use the 3rd row seat very often.

I just received the 2nd row Huskys for the pathy and fitment is perfect! Bit costly but well worth it since I know my 18mo daughter will be spilling stuff back there!

I've looked every where for a 2piece cargo liner for the rear and for some reason everyone has decided to not make them two piece...I guess I will have to lay down a nice dark carpet on top of carpet

shanker thanks for the feedback on the 2nd row will have to keep that in mind. The stock floormats are really thin and I'm sure we will soon be replacing them all.

The Husly cargo mat came in last night and went in no problem. Overall it fit good but my wife doesn't like having the raised lip in the rear so I may have to trim it down.

We recently purchased the Husky mat, pretty nice! Items still slide around pretty badly but there was improvement. I like the mat but the cargo tie down tabs don't fit through just right, a little cutting fixed this.

I just ordered the full Weathertech package. The laser cut front and second row as well as both rear cargo pieces. I will post the results when they come in...

With the rear liner....do you have to remove it to flip up the 3rd row?

I have Husky as well and you do have to remove the liner to flip the third row up, but often I just bend the liner in half and raise the third row. Husky is well made and quite durable.
