no underseat cubby? what the hell....

Postby awake » Tue Jul 13, 2010 9:53 pm

had my '10 path SE for about a month.....while i was doing my research, i noticed the little cubby storage unit under the 2nd row seat.

i thought it was pretty cool, and moved on with my day.

well i just went to throw something in there for the first time, and its not there! there is an imprint in the carpet where it would be, but its just that....carpet.

what gives?

i saw no mention of this feature in the 2010 owners' manual on the Nissan USA website.

where did you see a reference to it?

My 2010 SE Journey Package doesn't have a cubby.

I did a search on it and tons of websites do indicate a under the seat storage on the second row. But none of the sites have pics of it.

it's shown in the owners manual in the 3rd "sticky" in this forum, on
pg 2-37.
the manual is for 2006, so it may be that the storage compartment has been discontinued on later models.
in the dealer brochure selection guide for my 2005 Pathfinders, it's listed as "under floor storage."

It probably isn't that hard to add. If the space in the floor is there then you probably just need to buy the plastic enclosure, cut the carpet, and drop it in.

I think it's nice to have, but don't use it much. What do you put in there that you can't live without it?

I've actually never used mine.
