Anyone have the part number for the display control unit needed for the rear dvd display on an R51? Or do you even need one?

Anyone know how to get the wiring schematic for the DVD player and rear dvd screen?

Found it here...

Also, there is no dcu for the rear monitor, it is basically composite video straight from the dvd player.

Struggling to get the unit powered up...even with the drawings. Anybody here good with this type of thing.

I have the pinout according to the service manual, but is the pinout from the perspective of looking at the cable harness or looking at the connector on the unit itself?

Pick up a cheap multi_meter and measure pins 15 and 16 to ground. That should be your 12vdc. It will probably only have voltage when the key is in the on position.

In my experience the wiring diagrams in FSM's in general are from the perspective of the wiring harness/vehicle side. Usually the individual components are left to be deciphered by their individual manufacturers. Of course my theory may not hold water for Nissan as I've never had to mess with it.

And as Boogy said, when in doubt, volt it out.

It's not in the truck. I don't even have the harnesses, or the dvd player. Trying to figure out how the pins are laid out in the schematic. I would assume it is if you were looking at the wiring harness connector, so looking at the screen connector, pin 16 is really on the right?

So pin 16 would really be top right pin in the picture?

That would be my assumption.
