Torque setting for struts 05 pathfinder

Postby 05path » Mon Mar 24, 2014 2:03 pm

Just installed new front struts and rear shocks on 05 pathfinder. Owners manual does not have the torque setting for the three retaining nuts on the top of the struts. Anyone have the service manual? Also I had to remove the front torsion bar to get the bottom bolt off the strut. I assume this may also have a torque setting. Thanks in advance. The pathfinder is my wifes car so I don't expect to be on this forum much. Your forum looks well organized and easy to navigate. I use an Alfa Romeo forum all the time and this appears to be equally as good.

I found a service manual but it may as well be in Japanese. I don't understand how to read these torque settings. For the uppers it shows. 29.5 (3.0,22).. For the torsion bar it shows 83.5 (8.5, 62). Which is the torque setting?

this is outlined on service manual pg GI10 (general information pg 10)
the 2nd figure in parentheses is the figure for inch lbs or ft lbs
