Rear unit bearing torque specs

Postby Brett » Mon Feb 24, 2020 7:31 pm

Can I confirm rear unit bearing torque specs? I searched around and found 44 ft/lb and a replacement spec. Is the replacement really necessary? Threadlocker? Seems like a low torque spec.

Thanks!

If you are talking about the four bolts that mount the wheel bearing to the knuckle, then 44 lb-ft is the torque spec. I just did all four of mine on my 06 Pathy. You can use blue thread locker on the bolts, if you want.

Yes, those are the ones, thanks.

Much quieter now that I don't have to listen to a bearing eating itself.

Many thanks for that.
