Timing chain class action claim

Postby CRC11007 » Sat May 23, 2020 1:25 pm

Though my ‘05 was not affected by the timing chain issue, I still received a claim form in the mail, and thought I would share the info here. It looks like Nissan is paying out to people who paid out of pocket for timing chain repairs on 2005 - 2007 models. It says you can upload your claim at www.nissantimingchainsettlement.com

It's only for these states

Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, North Carolina, or Texas

and the repair had to be completed before your vehicle had 120,000 miles.

Looks like you can either get up to $720 or a voucher up to $1500 for a new Nissan vehicle

What a joke. Nissan claimed in the lawsuit their engines are only designed for a 120k service life, or something like that, which is why the cut off.

I was able to find my repair bill for my timing chain (2kish) so I sent it in. Would be nice to get a check for $700, but I’m not holding my breath. (05 from MD).
