it all depends on your definition of fast...

all BMW's are top end vehicles... they are tuned for maximum torque around 4500 rpms...

so if you want 0-60... you might not want one... but from 60-130, you definitely do!

as for the pathfinder... lots of low end torque, but not fast off the start. great from 40-80, but a real pain to get to 100.

pathfinder does 115 on 91 without a problem, as for bmw there nice, my aunt had put 155 thousand miles on her old 328i and its been a great car but for today the 3 series is washed out. Infiniti has got them beat.

115 on the PF, but doesn't it take forever to get there? Personally I got up to 103 and just gave up and i was running 93.

as for the PF beating the 330i, its like beating up a retarded kid. the PF has at least 1 more liter of displacement on the 330. 4.0 vs 3.0...

yeah i know the G37S beat the 335i.... the G37S has half a liter of displacement and 30bhp on it... when Motor Trend did the side by side testing the couldn't compare it to an M3 b/c there wasn't one made for the model year.

my point was that the pathfinder is a heavy body on frame truck that works against the air because its a box and that it was able to keep up with a car half its size, that is supposedly the benchmark for performance. Considering it carries 7 and was ment for off road it did pretty damn good. I like bmw's but where missing the point here. The pathfinder is awesome the 3 series is anemic and it got its ass handed to it end of story. And 103 is nothing for the pathfinder, 72 degrees a nice stretch of asphalt and shell do 120. And displacement means nothing. A 2zzge motor is only 1.8l and makes 180 hp, take nissans qr25de its bigger yet only turns out 177 hp.

103 for the PF is nothing,i accelerated from 120kmph to bout 170kmph and no problem, in fact it was still accelerating..Theres another guy i know who hit 190kmph (its limited to 190 here in the gulf).. But i love the BMWs too,,some of the best handling vehicles ive ever driven, but this truck is fast for its size no doubt,,just wonder what the V8 is like :D
