newbie with a 2005LE and a question

Postby daffodil40 » Fri Oct 02, 2009 3:35 pm

excuse me if this has already been asked, but i am at 65,700 miles and recently had my transmission fluid flushed and replaced at a Nissan dealership and ever since then the car sounds totally different. It is almost a faint whinning when you accelerate, especially on a hill. Took it back and was told they didn't hear anything strange. I know my car and it is sound very different and not running nearly as quiet. Any suggestions or comments?

Thank you very much!

Did they just drained and refilled the oil in the tranny or actually flushed it as well? Besides the noise any noticeable performance loss?

Did you have the oil changed as well? The reason I ask is because I had an oil change along with a trans flush done and my truck would whine only sometimes not always. It turned out to be a faulty oil filter.

well normally a flush is not the best idea. when they use such high pressure its not good fir your seals. so it would help us to know if you had a drain and flush or a drain and fill
