I was thinking of going to a 255/70 R16, but being that I have the S trim, I don't know if the suspension is different from the SE or the LE trim.

Here is a link to the tire that I liked.

Nissan lists the same suspension part model numbers for all Pathfinder variants. The only exception, model years '05-'07, was that the SE-OR had OEM Rancho shocks. You'll be fine if you keep it under the 265/75.

Greek you can go with the 265/75's I went from the 245's to 265's on my XE (before they went to calling it an S). They fit fine (put 15k on them before putting in the OME) but will hit you on acceleration even more than fuel eco so keep that in mind.

Great choice on the tires. Looks awesome. Just curious, what is the overall diameter of the wheel/tire and do you notice steering wheel vibration at higher speeds (60-80)? BB

Being that I still have the OEM tires, I just went ahead and purchased an OEM replacement. The General Grabber AW. I am going to hold off for now on buying a new set of tires since the ones that came with the Pathfinder when I bought still have a lot of tread left. But, when I DO get tires eventually, the Bridgestones that i have the link to in one of the above posts are going to be what I buy. Or I will go ahead and buy the BFG All Terrains that I LOVE oh so much.

OME and yokos

Postby guinnessjim » Mon May 12, 2008 3:44 pm

i finally got to put the suspension & yokos to a test this past weekend. went camping out around lake mead (bonelli bay area). did a lot of driving on 4x4 only and 4x4 'recommended' roads...haha...i'd love to have seen the person that said "well it only said it was recommended...".

lotsa fun, OME and tires paid off in full on that. the terrain range from sand (both wet and dry) to graded dirt to rocky to pointed rocky. couldn't be happier w/ my tires at this point...clawed up some sketching looking climbs, mananged to get me unstuck after i stuck myself in some nasty beach stuff (silty wet sand), kept me moving fwd in the dry sand.

and the graded dirty road from temple bar road to bonelli bay was hill-arious...like a rollercoaster (tons o'fun)! OME ate it all up.

but i digress, as the title of the thread is tires. the yoko's handled it all and i would recommend them to neone. (haven't hit some of the nonsense i threw at the geo II+ yet, but am confident they will do fine when i do)

on 17's the tire size is 265/65/17r. I have plains to change them from 65 series to a 70. a 265/70/17 is the same size as a 265/75/16 as what comes on the SE-OR. Im going to get eather a BFG AT or the MT
