Actually, before I drove to the incline (warehouse ramp nearby), I did top the fluid off. Then I drove to the incline, poped the hood to twist the radiator cap. I wouldn't recommend removing completely as mine regurgitated (sticking with the burp theme a little coolant. Ran it for a little bit with 3-4 3000rpm revs. Then wrapped up and went to the dog park.

Still seems to be blowing hot air at idle. I didn't check the rear vents, but I will this evening. I'll let you know how it goes.

Its funny you say that you topped it off because I had about a quart of antifreeze and it took it all but I'd bet it would take more. So what I'll do is just drive it up the ramp and then top it off.

so it blows hot air even in the morning once the temp goes to normal? Hopefully the purpose of my remote start and warming the car at idle is fixed with this action.

Yep. Nice hot air comes from the vents. I usually redirect them towards the side windows to keep them clear of frost. Works really well.

Did you also do what G35TR perform "burb" the car?

I did purge air from the system using a process similar to what he described. That process will ensure to get rid of any airlocks in your system, normally you'd just need to refill the rad and let the vehicle run for a bit, then refill the rad.

I was having the same issue (good, super hot heat at speed, very little heat at idle). I just topped off the coolant with out doing anything else special -- heat is back to 100% again.
