Volume controls on steering wheel

2005 Pathfinder XE with stock radio. Is the wiring intact under the blank panel on the steering wheel so that if I purchase the panel with the volume knobs it's just plug and play.

The wiring is not there. Steering wheel audio controls are not an "add-on" accessory. If you want controls in the steering wheel, you will have to do the all the wiring yourself. Note that the base model radio is not set up for steering wheel audio controls either.

It isnt impossible, but unless you can find someone who has already accomplished it you have a difficult task ahead. Good luck if you decide to do it.
