05 se offroad... 18 inch frontier wheel swap, need tire advice
I have an 05 se offroad r51 pathy. Stock rims and tires are 275/65r16, 7.5 in wide 6×114.3 30mm offset. Just got on the cheap 2018 frontier 18 inch rims. Same offset same wheel width just 18 instead of 16s. If I recall the 05 se offroad had a different suspension setup that had higher ground clearance hence I suspect I can go slightly wider and slightly taller for the tires. I would appreciate everyone's input as to how big I can go without a lift. I was thinking of be safe with 275/65r18 which is only about 10.4" vs 10.8" wider and 31.6 vs 32.1" taller. With the rim being 7.5 wide and the same 30mm factory offset, didn't think I can fit a ton larger without a lift or spacers. Please advise folks.

Sorry correction, stock is 265/75r16.... sorry about that.

Your guesstimation sounds about right. You definitely can't do 33" without a lift and minor trimming. There's been coverage about the correct tire size that you can fit several times. I'm sure you can do a search and read through some threads to find the exact size with confirmation of what you can fit. Wish I can tell you, but I went straight to a suspensioin lift and 33" tires when I got my Pathfinder.

I've installed the Frontier Sport package 18" rims. If you go to the 275 size, I think it will just fit without trimming. At issue is the inside well liners.
