If there's one drawback to the V8 R51, it's that the rarity means minimal aftermarket support. Practically nothing available at popular shops like Z1 Offroad and the like
There isn't too much that is that special for the V8. It's usually either parts from the Titan/Armada or the V6 truck. Some things may require some tweaking like fitting a cat-back from the Armada. The V8 may use stiffer springs and different shocks, but nothing that can't be found in the aftermarket, thanks to those guys doing steel bumpers and V8 swaps themselves. Generally the aftermarket isn't big for Nissans in general, but you lift a V8 like you lift a V6. Unsure if the rear knuckles are different. Sure the front brakes are also different/larger, but you can thank the Frontier/Xterra guys going that upgrade, which is only a caliper/pad/rotor change and also recycled parts from another vehicle, from which I can`t remember, but it`s why the left caliper is marked R and the right caliper is marked L. The master cylinder is also different, but we`re talking 1.06" vs 1.00", so really minimal difference. The only real things that are specific to the V8 is the driveshaft and rear CV axles. You can get the driveshaft, but the CV`s are only recently available from Trakmotiv, which is a questionable history on quality. OEM is no longer available.
