Is it ok to use a part that has been replaced/updated with a newer part number?
I have a P0448 evap code (2012 SV) and I am looking to replace the vapor canister control valve. The Nissan parts website states that part number 14935-JF00A has been replaced by 14935-JF02C, $120CAD from Nissan.
I can order a generic 14935-JF00A for $26 on Amazon and have it delivered tomorrow, or order from Canadian Tire the Dorman 14935-JF02C replacement for $80.
Would using the older part number make any difference?

It's just a supersession. The older part should work fine.

PS -- There are also 00B, 00C, 00D, and 00E versions which all supersede to 02C. Any of them will work.

I have ordered the BECK/ARNLEY 0460121 from Amazon.ca ($65 CAD)
I believe it's the same as the dealer one.

Dorman makes a lot of their stuff China-cheap. Not that it's all bad, but be suspicious.

That is still the updated version of the valve with the stronger plunger. What you don't want to use is the old-style, all plastic valve.
