"CAI" is still a misnomer for anything that sucks air from the engine box. If you need a word, K&N blurbs their own filters as being "low restriction" and everyone understands the concept of a "cone filter". To toss around the term "CAI" when it's actually an HAI does a major disservice to outfits like AEM who make actual CAI's and not junk that sounds like it's doing something.rang-a-stang wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 6:22 pm100% agree but I don't think anyone will know what you are talking about if you call it an "intake pipe with less restrictions in it" or a IPWLRII. Say "cold air intake" or CAI and everyone knows what you are talking about.
Sorry for the delay. Indeed I did. It wants to stall on a cold start is the only issue. I fire it up and have my foot/hand ready to give it a few quick taps and it places itself. I was told I to drill a small hole to resolve that issue. I actually have a 2nd TB and might experiment with it on that one.Zen_master wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 6:14 pm
That looks pretty clean. What all did you have to do in order to get the box and tube to fit?
Also, I see you went with the LS throttle body upgrade. Any issues with cold starting? I have heard some experience hesitation after the upgrade with getting the engine to initially fire during cold starting.
