yeah like a very loud shop vac.
they didnt cover much of the cost. had them do the water pump as well cause they were there. they said they hadnt seen any go out but it was a minimal cost addition.

LOL, I had them do the same and they said the same. But now everything on the front of my engine except the power steering pump is new. :wink:

For anyone contemplating a transmission drain and fill for the V8 Pathy be prepared for a mess. The drain plug sits directly above one of the frame crossmembers. Assuming you have the appropriate size wrench (ratchet will not fit) to remove the drain plug, the draining fluid will spill all over the crossmember.

I understanding the V8 Pathfinder is a bit of a Frankenstein -- a little bit of the Titan mixed with a lotta bit of the V6 Pathy -- but this is a real P.I.T.A. :x

On that note, the rear diff appears to be the same as the V6 Pathfinder. The transfer case is the AUTO, on mine anyway, with the higher fluid capacity. The front diff looks to be from the Titan, rather than the V6. And the transmission is heaven knows what.
