Our '08 had 245/75/16s. The speedometer was off 2-3mph at 70 as compared to the GPS. With a change to 265/75/16s, the speedometer is dead on with the GPS. Gas mileage dropped from 21 to 20 on the highway. Besides the larger diameter, this drop may be partially caused by the much heavier BFGs as compared to the toilet paper thin Generals.
We've set the cruise @ 60mph before and gotten 24.5 on the computer. That would be a theoretical cruising range of about 490 miles.

My reference to the Generals was due to the fact we shredded the heck out of one in the volcanic rock out in Blythe, CA. So here is my two cents ...when I first bought the PF the dealer fueled the truck for the first time. When it came to me fueled the truck I asked my dad since he was test driving it. When I picked it up the odometer showed I had 430 miles to empty. 
I figured it was normal and drove it for two weeks before I had to refuel. However the second time was not the same...this time I only got 380 miles and so far I had not been able to get back to the 430...I have not change the tires nor do I have a cold air intake. Which makes me wonder if the tank itself has some sort of air bubble inside that would fool the gas dispenser into premature stop. 
Not to dismiss the theory of the tire size but in my case where everything is stock so i am just trying to make more sense out in my case...what do yuo think
