Finally picked up a Pathfinder!

Postby kev1n » Sat Oct 31, 2009 3:20 pm

This was my favorite color and I was finally able to find it with all the options I wanted, has the everything minus the rear entertainment system. It drives really great for a truck. It also has remote start installed in it, and it is integrated into the factory fob (hit lock twice and the car starts )

Was this a factory available option ?

Here are a couple of pics, its an 06.

I am sure that the remote start was not a factory option. Nice ride, and great name you have, Pathy looks super clean, enjoy.

Thanks, I found out that the module I have for remote start is a Valet 561T, it intgrates with the Factory FOB and has several programmable options.

I purchased mine with somesort of remote starter integrated into factory fob. Mine starts when you lock it, unlock it and then lock it again. After the second lock it blinks with lights once and then starts. what are other options you're talking about? In case I have the same model perhaps I can activeate those options as well.

By the way my NIssan dealer had no idea how this remote starter works as they did not find any alien wires or control boxes in the system and this is definately not a factory option. :)

my remote start works by hitting the lock button twice within 3 seconds. By default will run the car for 12 minutes and shut off if I don't use the car. That timing is programmable, it could be 3, 6 12,24 etc up to 48 minutes. It also has a timed starting mode which will start the car every X amount of hours (3, 6, 12) if you keep your car outside and don't drive it often this might be useful to ensure the car gets started on occasion, I wouldn't use this option.

The timer function is good for weather up here in Winnipeg, when we get down to -40 and you don't have anywhere to plug in your block heater.

My cars generally will start when its this cold, but it never sounds good!

so i emailed directed the other day once you posted the model number of your autostart. they told me there is a lot more to your kit then just teh model you posted. theres a few other things that were added to your Valet 561T. so they gave me a link and i start looking things up. the total cost for everything was around 600. so you got lucky with your kit. i think im still just going to get the avital 4113. it wont be as cool as yours but it will get the job down

Do you have that link handy ? Or a description of the other features ? I know there is a bypass and a circuit that protects from grinding the starter if you turn the key too far when getting into the truck.
