The exact same thing happened to me last winter. i chargewd it when i got home and its been fine ever since.socal4x wrote:Yes, I have a Pioneer AVIC with Navigation -- good thoughts that may be it.
I checked all my fuses, seems okay...
Battery appears to have been shot (per tester at Auto Zone)...I replaced it with a Yellow Top...so far, so good.
It was really weird because it happened all of a sudden. I was at the car wash, everything was fine, then when I went to start it and leave, it was dead. I though water had gotten in somewhere, but that didn't seem right since they hand wash everything, and driving in rain would likely penetrate more places...time will tell.
thanks all for your input/help.
And its a 2005 with 40K..should I be looking for a new one?schmo9 wrote:I have the Pathy for 3 months now...no battery issues at all...sitting with radio on, lights on you name it no problems.
Then last week I was in Germany overnight, so as usual parked up in the multi story carpark at the airport...came back and the battery was as dead as a dodo!!! Didnt leave lights on or nothing.
Breakdown guy jumped started and everything has been fine since, starts every morning first time, no struggle....weird one!!
