now after 6 month I like to show you guys my installations on my Nissan Pathfinder 2009

Because all of my installs are written in German, and because I'm to lazy to translate them in detail;) I'll use
the google-translate for it ... I think the most of my pics are speaking for themselves ... If you have any understanding
problems please ask and I will descript it as best as I can ...

2 weeks later

After 2 weeks driving with the Alpine I was disappointed:

1. Radio reception is really bad! Every few seconds I had failures and
Some channels even a continuous noise. Also, the use of a new external
Antenna (I have window antennas), unfortunately, brought no great improvement.
2. Ipod integration sucks
3. The operation is not as easy as I thought. The very small
buttons to use while driving is really already dangerous.
4. The GUI design leaves a tear in my face ... so unkind ...

But the real knockout criterion was the poor radio reception!
Last week I was totally frustrated, and then got the 1,400 € package again taken out of the car.



3 weeks later

Meanwhile, I have decided to revive me my old dream of a Car PC!
But since I wanted to still have a good radio reception (and I do not always have
Wait 30 sec would be ramped up to the PC) I decided in a car radio, the
Incorporate lower shelf of my car. Currently it is the Blaupunkt Bremen.

Finally, all CarPC parts have arrived! So it can go on the weekend at last!

Day 3

Today, I devoted the TFT.
Actually, I just wanted to rebuild an open frame monitor beautiful, but when I learned that it

And I had LUCK! The display fits really well into the double din hole! Only at the
Rear climate controls, I had to do something to cut away from the housing.





Then I built a retaining device which is to the existing screws in the console





The buttons by the LCD, I have provided with long cables. This I then on the shelf

Day 4 Installation

Now it was finally set to work!

First, I built the left of my rear seats (my Pathfinder is a 7 seater,
2 jump seats are located in the trunk, but since then my dog takes place, the seats for
me redundant)




Then I began to pull cable!
Here are my old cable plan (has changed only slightly)

Then the whole cable is connected and as well as he moved. When I have a point mass
a thick body screw resolved there some paint sanded off and the cable attached to it.

Finally, I have installed the screen last.

AND ... ... turned the key everything went ON !!!!!!!!

Because I love my Tomtom but I hate cable I had to build an better holder.
I used the Pathfinder Garmin Holder and rebuild it for my Tomtom

After I had removed the center console .. I have drilled 1 hole for the cable:






The edges of the columns I have yet quickly taped with black tape, so that there is no dirt collects.

The microphone holder I will soon be attached somewhere on the right of the center console ...

excellent work, just have to ask how does the pathfinder do on German highways? With the Alpine isnt there a navigation option with it?

It's great also with the 4 cm spacer and the generall grabber at2 ! No problems on the "Autobahn";) 190 km/h no problems ... I love this car.

Also when we go offroading in Belgium it does a really good job!

If its manual, he is probably in Europe and its a diesel. Than again I could be wrong.

I'm jealous every time I see a PF from Australia, Europe or Middle East. Diesel and manual, sometimes I feel like we're getting the short of the stick in North America, AND I REALLY LIKE MY PATHFINDER.
