Wasn't in my 2010 either.
However, the first aid kit itself really isn't near as important as the knowledge you carry in your head. A gallon size zip lock bag filled with maybe $10 to $20 of stuff you know how to use, would fit just fine in the pocket. My own kit is in an ammo box and just loose in back.
Best way to spend first aid money would be on a Wilderness First Aid course - usually a two day, 16 hour course, or a book such as Wilderness First Aid by American Academy of Orthopaethic Surgeons, Wilderness Medicine by Forgey, Medicine for Mountaineering by Wilkerson, or Medicine ofr the Backcountry by Tilton&Hubbell.
