I saw on the news yesterday afternoon that Northern Europe was having some major weather problems. Heathrow airport was mostly shut down and might open up by Wednesday. Crazy weather.mobilbo wrote:After battling blocked roads and stationary traffic in snow on lesser used routes (major motorways were at a standstill), we made it to Folkestone on time (for he Eurotunnel), only to have our departure delayed by 5 hours.
So we had just 5 hours sleep in our hotel in Calais, before pushing on to Paris. Boy oh boy, the weather threw some blizzards at us. At one point I stopped to tow a stranded car up an incline on the motorway.
I've posted a short video on YouTube of part of the journey. Just search for 'Calais to Paris 19th December'. I'd post the link, but using my phone just now as opposed to a pc and can't seem to get it.
Doesn't take much snow to stop the UK. 79, nice!richardekirby wrote:

In the meantime, I'm running around in shorts and t-shirt. We had a record high of 79* yesteday and should hit 80* today. It just does not feel like Christmas time.
Hell yeah that was fun. Funny thing is my brother's car was parked in front of mine, and when he cleaned his car off, he dumped the snow in front of my Pathfinder. I cleaned it off, got in, and just tore through all that stuff. It was a fun couple of days.gkb62001 wrote:Holy crap! That looks like funCr@2y Gr33k wrote:
