Been reading and reading, but dont see any red thread anywhere. Some like this, and other like that... I will buy from the US. Norway is one of the most expensive places on earth, so importing it from the us will save me anything from 30 - 60%!!!! So non of the kits on 4x4parts are recomended? Radflo is quite expensive, and I have to admit that I don´t offroad too much... its 99% on the road use I have a conversation ongoing with arctic trucks as well... They mentioned something with a spacer on the rear (30mm) to get the alignment right. But will the camber alignment kit fix this issue? AS far as we know there is no pathfinder that has been built with 37/38 inch tyres. Thats why it would be so cool to make it work out. With the arctic truck look on it I think it will be bad ass! As for the ironman I´ve heard only good things about it, and the price of 800AUSD ain´t too bad, but on that level there must be some real competetive brands like Radflo etc that would, or may, be better? And when it comes to experience with the pathfinder and lifting on the suspension you Americans are higly experienced compared to us. I used to live in Texas and California, and EVERYONE with a truck did the lifts. However what you miss is nice fender flaresNVSteve wrote:Remyek,
I don't believe anyone on this forum has the Ironman suspension, probably because it costs so much to import from Australia. I've seen some pretty good reviews of their kit though. A number of us on this forum have gone with the OME (Old Man Emu) suspension, which is ARB-you should have some dealers in Norway. I personally went with the OME suspension & have generally really liked it much more than stock. I've already had one shock blow on me, so I had to replace with something local & readily available, which was Monroe. If I decide to redo my suspension, which is a real possibility, I'd go with either Icon or Radflo, both of which are adjustable in the front. You'd probably have to contact both of them to find part numbers for what you want, as 4x4parts.com doesn't list everything (such as the rear shocks). There are a number of threads on this forum related to suspension that you can read through for an idea of what people like, dislike, etc.
Several, of us have the AC Deluxe suspension kit:remyek wrote:SO if anyone has a suggestion to a lift kit that isn´t too stiff on the ride, please help me...
Ok, thank you. Is there alignment problems even after using the camber bolt kit? And how much does it really lift you car?goblue90 wrote:Several, of us have the AC Deluxe suspension kit:remyek wrote:SO if anyone has a suggestion to a lift kit that isn´t too stiff on the ride, please help me...

I like the kit as it's not too firm, but I may swap the stock coil out with a light duty OME lift coil as I'm going to install a Shrockworks front bumper. One issue a few of us have experienced is difficulty getting the vehicle aligned properly. Good luck and nice truck by the way!
Is the allignment a issue for all lifts or this one only??goblue90 wrote:Yes, my 05 came with camber bolts and the shop had a difficult time aligning it. They ended up sacrificing a little camber to make sure that the toe was set within specs. I never measured my before and after lift, but here's a thread from another user who installed the kit:

I'm thinking you mean suspension type lift versus body lift? I'd like to know that too. I'd like to do a 2 or 3" lift. Seems like a suspension lift is easier to complete, but there are alignment or other issues. Whereas a body lift is harder to complete, but in the end not as many issues? Am I correct in this generalization?remyek wrote:Is the allignment a issue for all lifts or this one only??
Mine is lifted about 2.5 inches on the body. No alignment problem after 4 wheel allignment. Think this is more of a issue with the suspention lifts. But ist there problems with allignment with ALL lift kits or just this particular one???Spamcan wrote:I'm thinking you mean suspension type lift versus body lift? I'd like to know that too. You would have to dig through every suspension related thread on this forum to see all the alignment posts. In a nutshell, some people simply couldn't get the wheels aligned within spec, while others had no trouble.remyek wrote:Think this is more of a issue with the suspention lifts. So it´s more of a car issue than the induvidual shocks?? Or may it be the alignment shop?NVSteve wrote:You would have to dig through every suspension related thread on this forum to see all the alignment posts. Maybe a combination of all the above. I took mine in twice for an alignment, and I'm talking one of those places that sells/installs tires, batteries, etc. They did the alignment, but I'm pretty sure they didn't work at it very hard because it was out of spec both times. Far out of spec. I finally hunted down a shop that does only alignments & they didn't have any problems at all.remyek wrote: So it´s more of a car issue than the induvidual shocks?? thanks for your answers. And yes, Alignment is necessary when lowering or lifting a car, thats 101 within cars! People who dont do it either don´t know better or are just stupid. I will have it alligned at arctic trucks or a specialist shop that only do alignments. Will try out the AC Deluxe Lift kit from 4x4parts. The price is super nice and if many of you have used it and dont feel it´s crap, hell it´s good enough for me too. I need the extra camber bolts as well as my car is a 07NVSteve wrote:Maybe a combination of all the above. Some people here have mentioned that it's too difficult because of the lack of the cam bolts on certain year models. Then again, people have also said they have had problems even with the cam bolts installed. All I know is that if the distance between the upper and lower arms is increased (via a suspension lift, spacers, etc.), then an alignment is mandatory. Whether or not that alignment will fall into spec is somewhat questionable, especially if you read everything that everyone has posted here about their experiences with good & bad alignments.
