ah yes, the $64,000.00 questions.........Plumebuster wrote:Just picked up a 2008 LE 4x2 with automatic transmission. Are these model years also subject to the transmission / coolant contamination issue? Unfortunately, I found out about this issue when searching for a Pathfinder forum. I hope I don't regret this purchase.
Any idea on the % of Pathfinders that have this issue?
Saw a comment that the supplier to Nissan believes the problem radiators were part of a batch shipment. Any idea on years affected?
Thanks in advance!
Well, I have feeling that all the problems faced by early model year pathfinders will eventually find their way to the newer ones. Its just a matter of time and mileage. I bought a late build 2006 thinking I would be in the clear on all the major issues that have been uncovered with the R51, it turns out I was wrong. I just got done paying for a timing chain tensioner job and also had the fuel level sensor and leaking crank case fixed. I'm at 64k miles. I did the bypass when I first got the car to avoid any transmission issues. Nissan really put out some junk with this car, I am used to much better based on my maxima. Very disappointing.Plumebuster wrote:Just picked up a 2008 LE 4x2 with automatic transmission. Are these model years also subject to the transmission / coolant contamination issue?
