05 Pathfinder

Postby advancetech » Sat Aug 27, 2011 6:25 am

I'm working on an 05 Pathfinder, and have been coming across a problem. Most times it runs well, I just performed a full tune up, installed a new battery and cleaned the battery terminals. Started the car up the other day, and it had a hard time starting, and when it did, it loped along like it was running off of a couple of cylinders. When I opened the throttle up, the engine stalled. This happened a number of times. Then, I started it up and it ran beautifully again. When I checked the fuel pressure it was right where it should be, but the needle was jumping like crazy. I'm thinking it might be the fuel pressure regulator or possibly the fuel pump. Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
