Do the bypass, the fluid from the radiator will empty out.gilliam433 wrote:got my car back this morning, and couldnt sleep last night knowing that my transmission could have, and probably has been "contaminated" due to them replacing the leaking radiator they found.
so i got home and pulled my dipstick for transmission fluid, and then I asked myself, what the heck am I looking for? I mean i know the milky look and so forth, but there is so little fluid on the end of the dipstick (even after the 180 rotation to push it further down), I cant tell if its bad or good. It just looks brown....haha.
ahhhh....always something.
I just did my oil change last week. While I was down there, I took off my radiator plugs and used about 20lbs of compressed air to blow out any remaining trans fluid left in the old rad cooler.digs5567 wrote:to blow mine out I just used compressed air in a can that you would use to clean your computer...very cheap and easy
