Rattle Help- Anyone?

last couple of months when i start Truck cold start there is a rattling sound coming for under the hood and then goes away for rest of day until next morning...i figured it was a heat sheild so waited till next oil change and brought it into the dealer for a check up...This is what the Dealer told me:

" The Rattling noise is a normal timing chain/ liftir noise being heard on start"

Is this true? Has this happened to you? Need more info on this!! Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
