So I've had my pathfinder over a year. However I was deployed to Afghanistan for 7 months of that year. I bought the airlift 1000 in Feb 2012 but with it being cold and crappy weather I have not installed it.
Well today, It's 60 degrees, sunny and nice. I finally decided I would do the install. Well, I dropped the spare tire. Which come to find out the rim matched my LE rims that I sold 2 months ago. Nice. Well I crawled under to see what I was about to tackle and to my surprise I find this....
Bags. I was shocked. I've always noticed these to air lines but was unsure what they ran to exactly....
The bags were flat and all messed up. I ended up filling up the bags with a 20 psi, and so far they are holding.
This makes me think the previous owner knew about the saggy shocks and had some air bags installed. He/she may have even been a member of this forum once upon a time. I'm going to leave them in for a bit and see if they hold air. However whoever installed the 7 pin did an aftermarket install and it looks like crap...
I'm probably going to buy the wiring harness from Nissan and do it up correctly. Can anyone tell me if the 7 pin kit from Nissan has two plugs? Over where the 4 pin connects there are two plugs, the gray is the 4 pin, and the black had the electric brake wire that the previous person cut out...
