newbie... have some questions

Postby Spank09PathSE » Wed Mar 07, 2012 11:19 am

Gents,

New to the forum. just picked up a 09 Path SE. After reading the post on the milkshake that can destroy the tranny, I have already completed the bypass mod for the rad cooler.

What else should I look out for in terms of issues. Also, being a HP junkie, is there any after market support in terms of direct fit exhaust systems for our Paths? Frontiers seem to have very similar exhausts and could work with minimal mods but didnt know if anyone knew of a bolt on replacement.

Looking for the following parts for my Path:

1. Rear cup holder - dark grey interior
2. Center cap
3. Driver entry seal (one that goes around door opening)

Thanks in advance gents!

Chris

Welcome, you've got the most important thing done with the transmission cooler bypass. Check out courtestynissan.com and factorynissanparts.com for good prices on OEM parts. You may can find the center cap and cupholder on ebay.

Both and your pathfinder too. I don't think there's any issue with posting pics of other vehicles. There's even a thread specifically for other vehicles in the off topic or general thread.

How did you go about bypassing on the '09? There's a thread here that shows the exact parts needed for the '05-'07 models but they changed around things for '08+. I'm going to wait until the extended warranty is up but I'm not far from that at this point.

Deer,

Will post some pics!

Skinny,

Just took the bottom 2 lines and connected them together via barb fittings and hose.

Doesnt look like they changed anything around in the 08 and up models to me. Can anyone else chime in and let us know? If the mod isnt needed on the 08 and up, I will change mine back to the stock configuration.

Upload them to a website such as photobucket and copy the image link in your post.

I don't know if they changed anything internal with the cooler/rad setup, but the connection positions are reversed and the extra cooler is in a different location starting in 2008. I believe all the way through '10 is covered by the extra warranty.

Nice! I like the red. I don't see too many red pathfinders. Is the 62 a work in progress? What are your plans for it?

Yeah, that's actually the 1st redone I ever saw. Planning on doing a patina paint job and a mild resto mod on the Skylark.
