A good friend of mine came out from Denver for a visit over Memorial Day weekend, so we took him around to show off a few of the sights. Wind, blue skies, rain & snow were all encountered. The fun part was in Capitol Reef National Park. We were quite a ways out in no man's land and stopped to look at this:



It was windy while we were there, but then it just started getting worse and worse. I looked over at the Pathfinder and snapped this:



About half a minute later, we got pounded by a massive dust storm. We tried to hold out, but eventually worked our way back & got inside the car, along with lots of dust. We had to sit there quite a while before the conditions improved enough to attempt driving. I'm sure mar1 sees this all the time, but it was a bit unusual for us.

I took this as we tried to walk back to the car. It was a lot worse than it looks in the photo:



We were absolutely covered in dust. Anyway, a few pics from later that same day after the dust settled:

Looks like that truck has seen quite a few sandstorms!
