I just purchased a new 2012 Pathfinder SV 4x2. There were some pretty sweet deals. I would have just gone with the base model for 22k but it didn't have enough bells and whistles for the wifey so we upgraded to the SV model which has enough toys for her. I traded in my 2011 Tacoma double cab
because we have a 6 month old baby girl. The Taco is a fantastic vehicle but we needed more interior room. All my baby cargo would get weathered even with a tonneu cover. I love the 7 passenger seating even though it's designed for children and adults shorter than 5' 5". I personally have never been a big fan of Nissan but so far I love my new Pathfinder. I have a lot to learn since I'll be performing all the maintanance myself. I've also been reading up on the Tranny Coolant issues.
