Like to make some NOISE

Anybody have a part number for a magnaflow muffler to replace the stock one? Id rather do Borla but don't think I can get one to work. I would like to make my V8 Path make sum noise lol.

I'm more a fan of the SpinTech mufflers myself... a nice 2-into-1 to replace the primary center muffler should be easily done.

If you're more looking for in-cabin sound instead of annoying the neighbors, I *love* what the Volant Powercore intake does for it. Great Merc AMG V8 like growl from under the hood

i can't remember the part number, but i went from the stock 22in muffler to a 18in magnaflow. i think the muffler inlets are 2.25in compared to the 2.5 tubes that they hook up to though, so the shop will have to downsize or something.

but the difference was amazing. not -too- loud, but definitely alot more throaty (at least on the v8).

i still have to get the resonator off and i WAS going to do the 2nd cat delete with b pipes from cajun, but now that i have the wrangler i don't think i'll be doing much more to the pathy for a bit while i get the jeep into better daily drive shape (like changing spark plugs, tires, shocks, etc...)

Downsize the pipes into the muff? Come on man, that's just bad form...

On my old V6 I did a 2-1 Spintech, and sans the resonator (that tiny can at the rear next to the spare tire) it was too loud, but with it on it was just perfect.

But, this is all subjective. Some people like the Gibson Cat-Back system even though it has less HP, rattles against the rear sub-frame, and has a heinous bassy drone that makes me want to take an ice-pic to my ears...

V8 Pathy's have the 2 in one out deal after 08. Not sure of the V6's.

2.5" in, 2.25" out.

I also suggest the b-pipes from either Cajun (knightowl on titantalk) or Berk.

Not sure of the V6 is the same as the V8, but the b-pipes fit the V8 with a minor modification to one of the flanges.

So your B-Pipes delete the cats? I live in California, I think such offenses have a mandatory life-sentence here...

I have wondered if there are some V8 Titan headers that could be made to fit

The main cats still exists in the exhaust manifold, in addition to those, 2 more are found in the b-pipes.

Also, check the links again, there are 2 options for the b-pipes from both companies that include cats in the b-pipes and no cats. So, not out of luck there.

The Titan headers do fit, but require a bit of modification to the UCA since the space is tight. That would indeed remove your cats from the exhaust manifold. Doug Thorley long tubes seem to be the best. OBX makes a knock off version for cheaper. There used to be a member on titantalk with a V8 Oathy that had those installed and he did mention some modification to the UCA for them to fit.

As long as your vehicle is at operating temperature, the exhaust reading for emissions should pass. I've got a lot of friends in California that have done the same and pass emissions in other Nissan cars.
