Interesting... My in-dash Speedo does not change at all. And I didn't expect it to, as it is an analog gauge that I assumed was purely mechanical gear driven. But to be honest, I don't know?? Could be fly-by-wire like the accelerator? In any case, mine stays at 66mph on dash when I'm at 70MPH on both BDGT & GPS.

But, I have the BDGT: 50-State GT Gas (40410) not the GT Gas (40415), as that was the only model my shop had in stock.

At site yesterday so here is a before/after lift. I like it.. beefier without getting too jacked. Next item roof basket that I can stand on.... and I'm no small guy..

Yea.. About what I suspected. It will need to be a custom, not a bolt on. Something that fits between the stock rails and actually sits on the roof (with rubber isolates under basket ribs) and also attaches to factory rails. I don't need to haul heavy. But I have photography assignments that I need to stand on the roof for while parked. Will take some time as my aluminum fabricator is in Louisiana. I did the same on a Grand Cherokee, works great, but I need to find the right basket to start with... And few places have actual baskets I can see and touch, without ordering online.

My son-in-law's 2013 Armada to my 2008 Pathfinder comparison after lift. A little longer and wider, but not taller after the Rancho lift. Same engine.

No I still have the stock spare. To be honest, I have not looked to see what the biggest tire I can fit on carrier? My "theory" is I can use the stock spare (about 2.5" shorter) and compensate with the rear airbags if needed. I'll test that theory when I take it in to have the wheel balance tested in about 1000 miles... or if I get a puncture before then?

That would be bad for the differantial and your ABS/VDC system might wack out.

doctajones proved you can still fit the exact size you've got under there.

Interesting.. I just took a look, and if so, it will be a tight fit. Biggest concern will be the exhaust pipe.. only about 2" from stock spare. For now, I'm within 5-10 miles of a tire shop on surface streets, but this is something I need to do before getting into a remote area.

I was asked in a PM how I mounted my BDGT. So I thought I would add a few images.

I cut the suction cup off the bottom of the included adjustable mount, and forced the bendable mounting between my dash and roof pillar trim.

I guess I could have trimmed the dash edge a little so not to have a gap, but the tight fit does a good job at holding it firm. It's actually a pretty good place win no vibration and very easy to see and read.

haha if i am careful and use the bully dog driver coach i can manage 21mpg but i usually get inpatient so i have been averaging 17mpg, which i dont feel is bad with the how my pathy sits

Well I'm driving an 85 mile roundtrip 4 time a week, on the flat Texas interstate. At 70mph with AC, I'm turning 1800RPM, and if I use cruise-control, I get about 17.5MPG. But the city driving still kills me, even if I drive like a sane person.

Still it is better gas mileage than I got with my V6 Nissan Frontier.. which could hardly get 15mpg with the wind behind it.

i know the feeling of long trips. depending on what client i'm at i do up to 220 miles round trip. in the city my mpg is complete crap maybe 10mpg. i just had to bug you about that. im actually jealous cause i could use the extra power of the v8.

No worries, everyone gives me hell.. I don't think anyone who drives an older Nissan expects high MPG. My wife's 2014 v6, 8 speed Jeep gets 25mpg... But then I would have to dive a jeep. Nah.. No thanks. I see too many Jeeps on the road. I also chase down other Pathfinders... Maybe becouse i see so few?

V8 is nice.. Haven't towed yet, but have had it in some deep slick mud and it walks out like a breeze. It is my work truck and so far it is doing a super job. I love it!!
