Ok, I was thinking the sway bar was the stationary bar that bolts to a double ball joint, keeping the tires in place, which is what I disconnected in order to get my struts out, while the stabilizers were the piece that that ran to the top of the c joint. Am I wrong? Haha I may have just had my mind on stabilizers tho. I was changing one yesterday in my uncle's silverado. I see what you did tho, you re running a setup like the one I had on my rock crawling jeep before I sold it. I bought it the way it was and saw that the sway bar was gone and replaced by a two shock system like that to let the axle flex a little more. All I have an issue with really is sometimes if I take a heavy bump, my tires will kind of shimmy until I check it with a quick wheel jerkNmexMAX wrote:You mean the sway bar? Stock is very stout, so perhaps maybe an upgrade to the end links and stabilizer bushings might help.
I got rid of my sway bar since this is not really an on road vehicle, and even with my lift and tires, it's not terribly bad on road.
